Manila, Philippines – Supported by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), the consortium of the Korea Environment Institute (KEI) and SusIF will host a capacity-building workshop on climate adaptation technologies on August 27–28, 2025, at Makati Diamond Residences, Makati City. Organized under the Philippine Climate Resilient Cities – Technical Assistance project, the hybrid event is expected to bring together more than 120 local government officials and stakeholders from the Cities of Batangas, Borongan, Cotabato, Iloilo, Legazpi, and Zamboanga, both in-person and online.

Participants will be introduced to the project’s case study book and guidelines, while experts from ADB, GGGI, and CTCN will share global perspectives on adaptation technologies. City representatives will outline their climate challenges and strategies, providing a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration with peers and experts.

The workshop aims to strengthen understanding and capacity on climate adaptation across the six cities. It will be followed by an invitational training in Korea in November 2025, further supporting cooperation on climate resilience.

This event is intended for participants from LGUs, CSOs, and academia in the six cities of Batangas, Borongan, Cotabato, Iloilo, Legazpi, and Zamboanga who are engaged in work on climate adaptation.
